The short version
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use KinPod member features. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will remove it.
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information, don't impersonate anyone, and don't share your account. Tell us at hello@joinkinpod.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Our Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In addition, you agree not to:
KinPod is a place to find people and experiences. What happens in person is between the people involved. We do not perform identity verification, criminal background checks, or any other screening of members, organizers, hosts, or venues, and we do not supervise meetups.
You are responsible for your own safety and decisions. Please read our Safety & Reporting page before meeting someone new.
Checking in is voluntary and manual. When you check in, other members of that pod or community can see that you are present, for a limited time (currently 3 hours), after which you no longer appear as present. You can clear a check-in at any time. Seeing that someone participated in the same place is not an invitation to contact or follow them.
Messages you post are visible to the members of that space. Community and pod organizers and KinPod administrators may remove content that violates these terms or our Community Guidelines. Don't use KinPod messaging for unwanted, repeated, or commercial contact.
Pods and communities may be created and run by members, organizers, or partner businesses. Organizers may set their own norms and manage their community, but they must follow these terms and our Community Guidelines. Organizers are not KinPod employees or agents, and KinPod is not responsible for their conduct.
Meetups and activities listed on KinPod may take place at public places or third-party venues that we don't own or control. Details like times, costs, access, and conditions can change without notice. You are responsible for confirming details and for your own participation, transportation, and physical wellbeing. Some activities carry inherent risk; participate only within your own limits.
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant KinPod a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate and improve KinPod. You're responsible for having the rights to what you post. We may remove content that violates these terms.
KinPod's name, logo, design, and software are ours. These terms don't grant you a license to use them beyond ordinary use of the service.
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
KinPod uses automated systems for reminders, milestone detection in your Journey, spam prevention, and rate limiting. KinPod does not currently use AI models to generate content or evaluate members. If that changes, we'll update these terms and our Privacy Policy.
You can stop using KinPod at any time and can request account deletion by emailing hello@joinkinpod.com. We may restrict features, remove content, suspend, or terminate an account when we reasonably believe it's necessary to protect members or the community, or when these terms are violated.
KinPod is provided on an ongoing but evolving basis. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
KinPod is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. In particular, KinPod does not guarantee:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KinPod is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of KinPod or any in-person interaction that begins on KinPod. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and give notice in the app. Continuing to use KinPod after changes take effect means you accept them.
